Introduction

This privacy policy is for visitors and users of this website (sepsis-ssip-score.org.uk). It sets out what personal data we store, and gives information on how we use that information.

Your IP address is the only piece of identifying and personal information we collect and store. We store your IP address when you use the SSIP score calculator to produce a score. We do not and never will share this data with other institutions or sites, eg marketing companies.

When first visiting the site we ask your consent to send data on how you use the site to Google Analytics. This is completely voluntary and opt in with your consent. We ask you for your consent on a weekly basis.

We use Google Analytics software to collect information about how you use sepsis-ssip-score.org.uk. This includes IP addresses, although we configure Google analytics to anonymise IP addresses when storing and analysing them. The data is anonymised before being used for analytics processing.

It should be noted that no personally identifying information is stored about you, or patients who you may score with our calculator.

Postcodes

We provide a service to look up the Indices of Multiple Deprivation 2015 in England via a postcode. We do not store postcodes, they are only used for the IMD 2015 lookup.

Children’s privacy protection

Our services are not designed for, or intentionally targeted at, children 13 years of age or younger. We do not intentionally collect or maintain data about anyone under the age of 13.

Where your data is processed and stored

We designed, built and operate this site to make sure that your data is as safe as possible at all stages, both while it’s processed and when it’s stored.

This site is operated from a shared hosting facilty in London, at present part of the European Economic Area (EEA), Data collected by Google Analytics may be transferred out of the EEA.

We may change this privacy policy. In that case, the ‘last updated’ date at the bottom of this page will also change. Any changes to this privacy policy will apply to you and your data immediately.
